Teachers Help Teachers

Having lived in Florida and Texas most of my life, I have seen firsthand the destruction a hurricane can leave in its wake. As a mother with a son in college in Connecticut, I listened and waited helplessly as the storm approached.  Luckily, his campus sustained no significant damage, but the same is not true for thousands in the northeast.  Pictures and videos of the damage are heartbreaking.

Laurah Jurca at The ESOL Odyssey, herself impacted by the storm, came up with a way to help support teachers who may have lost teaching materials due to Sandy's wrath.  She has mobilized teachers from TpT and is putting together a care package of teaching products donated by other teachers wanting to lend a hand.  Click on the picture below to read more.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those impacted by Sandy.
